    Wallpaper Removal

Wallpaper removal is the process of taking down or stripping wallpaper from a wall surface. It’s often done when you're redecorating or renovating a room, and you want to replace old wallpaper with new designs or paint the walls.

There are a few ways to remove wallpaper, depending on the type and how it was applied:

1- Peel-and-Stick Wallpaper: Some wallpapers come off relatively easily just by peeling them away from the wall. This is the simplest form of wallpaper removal.

2- Traditional Wallpaper: Older, more traditional wallpaper often needs a bit more work. Here’s how it’s generally done:

    • Score the Wallpaper: Using a wallpaper scraper or a tool like a scoring tool, make small punctures in the wallpaper to help moisture get underneath it.
    • Soak the Wallpaper: Apply a wallpaper removal solution, which could be a commercial product or a homemade mix (like vinegar and water). This helps loosen the adhesive that’s holding the wallpaper.
    • Scrape the Wallpaper: Once it’s soaked and the adhesive has softened, you can scrape the wallpaper off using a putty knife or wallpaper scraper.

3- Stripping the Backing: Sometimes, only the top layer of wallpaper comes off, leaving behind a backing that's more stubborn. This can also be soaked and scraped, though it may require more effort.

4- Steam Removal: Another method is using a wallpaper steamer. This tool applies steam to loosen the adhesive, making it easier to pull off the wallpaper.

5- Drywall Repair: After wallpaper removal, walls often need patching or sanding if they’ve been damaged in the process.
